Company registration in Panama

The favorable geographical location between two continents and oceans has played a defining role in Panama's history. Now it is a center of international business with hundreds of foreign companies operating in Panama City. The official language of Panama is Spanish, so documents in a foreign language that are submitted to government agencies and, in particular, to the Registry of Companies, must be accompanied by a Spanish translation. In business circles, Spanish and English hold equal standing. The Panama Canal and the Colon Free Zone have historically contributed to the development of the country.
